John Rivers is a self-taught chef and owner of fast-growing 4Rivers Smokehouse and The Coop. 4Rivers became a household name for Texas-inspired brisket, a recipe and technique Chef Rivers perfected over eighteen years. He is also known for his involvement in local school and community-based charitable organizations.
This spring, he opened The Coop, a southern-inspired casual dining concept, in Winter Park. The Coop provides Chef Rivers with a venue to create seasonal dishes with locally grown ingredients. The menu includes selections you might have eaten growing up in the South.
4Rivers Smokehouse has 5 locations – Winter Park, Winter Garden, Longwood, East Orlando, Jacksonville and Gainesville, Florida. The Coop, located at 610 West Morse Boulevard in Winter Park, is now open for breakfast.
